CUSTOMER: Forget about all this service agreement nonsense. I want what I paid for.

ALEX: Well, you never paid for a product, sir... You paid for the service agreement.

CUSTOMER: What?

ALEX: We don't sell products, we sell service agreements. Most of those service agreements permit you to use our products, but they, like products, are frequently upgraded.

CUSTOMER: So there's no point in buying anything other than a basic license for a product, is there? All these extra options are just an excuse for you all to extort money out of the part of your customer base naive enough to believe that a service agreement is a contractual obligation binding for both parties involved in the transaction?

ALEX: We'd never call you naive, sir. We prefer the term "financially enthusiastic."
