KING (Thinking): There are too many legitimate bloggers in this room.

UNSEEN BLOGGER #2: Sounds like you made the right decision. You've been doing really well lately.

UNSEEN BLOGGER: I got lucky. Atrios linked to me last October and a lot of the visitors kept coming back.

KING (Thinking): Everything I'm doing to convince the Associated Press that my credentials are legit will be easily detected by these guys. I need to thin the herd a little.

UNSEEN BLOGGER #2: So what do you do about comment spam?

UNSEEN BLOGGER: I grit my teeth and pull out my hair. A lot.

KING: Hi there.

SPOKESMAN FOR THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: Can I help you?

KING: I don't want to alarm you, but you see that guy wearing the blue-and-green striped T-shirt? I thought you guys should know... he's not a real blogger.

SPOKESMAN FOR THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: He's not? What is he?

KING: He's a web cartoonist.

SPOKESMAN FOR THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: Security!

Of course, that was the color of his shirt the day before and the day after. And, most likely, two weeks before.

And, no, it's not (necessarily) the same shirt.
